Participative obligation A financial instrument with no predetermined maturity that does not grant political rights to the investor, whose interest payment is conditioned on the issuer’s profits. It is a hybrid product between fixed and variable income. It can offer high returns and gives the investor priority over shareholders in receiving dividends, but in case of issuer bankruptcy, it has low liquidity and is not covered by the Deposit Guarantee Fund (FGD).
